Bridgeland’s traditional neighborhood development of Lakeland Heights not only introduced new homesites this year, but also a new builder, J. Kyle Homes.
J. Kyle Homes is the second builder to offer designs in Lakeland Heights, which features architecturally diverse homes in a Main Street-style setting. The builder’s eight plans were designed for the neighborhood, with prices ranging from the $160,000s on 42-foot homesites and from the $220,000s on 50-foot homesites. Homes range up to 3,200 square feet.
“With front porches facing the half-mile waterway, ample green space and an interesting mix of housing styles, Lakeland Heights is a charming neighborhood,” said Vanessa Cruz, sales representative for J. Kyle Homes. “We have designed a product line that reflects the community’s ambiance but still has all the special features and solid construction buyers expect from J. Kyle Homes.”
Three inventory homes are under construction, with the first, an 1,800-square-foot one-story Tudor design priced in the $230,000s, expected to be complete this month. Plus, J. Kyle Homes has plans for two model homes in Lakeland Heights.
Bridgeland is the third community for J. Kyle Homes, headed by Jason Kyle Hammonds, whose family has been building in the Houston area for 25 years.
The builder has 30 homesites in Lakeland Heights, with several waterfront properties. Garages in Lakeland Heights are accessed via a rear alleyway.
Lakeland Heights opened in Bridgeland in 2010 and is planned for 350 homes, featuring a blend of Craftsman, English Tudor, classical and French architecture. Amenities, such as the Lakeland Activity Center and Festival Park concert pavilion, are nearby, as is the site for Lakeland Village Center, a market square that will offer shopping, services and dining.
Lakeland Heights has earned notice throughout the industry for innovative development. The neighborhood won a 2010 Award of Merit for “Best on Boards Site Plan” in the 47th Annual Gold Nugget Awards sponsored by “Builder” magazine.
