Moving to The Woodlands’ Liberty Branch: Resources to Help

If you bought a new home and are moving to The Woodlands’ Liberty Branch neighborhood, it is time to learn about your new community. Luckily, you will find many local resources online and within your community to help you quickly become acclimated and feel right at home.

To get you started, we compiled a few of the top resources with things you should know about moving to The Woodlands and living in Liberty Branch, Village of Creekside Park. Use it as a reference as you explore your new community.

Become a part of your community through social networks

Moving to a new city can be challenging. Leaving your friends and familiar surroundings behind, you could easily feel lost. But through the use of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, you can adjust much faster.

If you are among the more than one billion people active on Facebook, use it to learn about your new local area. Find out what is happening and socialize with other residents even before moving in.

Log into Facebook and make the Creekside Park Liberty Branch community page your first visit. Like the page, follow the posts and join the conversions. You can learn about community news, events and more by reading previous posts. Looking for a place to eat, a new hair stylist or family physician in the area? You can find recommendations in the posts.

Liberty Branch is a new neighborhood in the Village of Creekside Park, so you’ll want to Like the Creekside Park Village Association page as well. You may also want to send a friend request to the Creekside Park Residents page. And, if you search in Facebook for “The Woodlands” you will find numerous pages to visit and join. While you at it, Like the J. Kyle Homes Facebook page, too!

On Twitter, you can follow The Woodlands and The Woodlands Online. You can also search Twitter and other social networks to find people talking about your new community.

Other sites to visit

As a new homeowner in the Village of Creekside Park, one of the first sites you should visit is the association’s official website at www.creeksideparkvillage.com. Through this site the association provides various tools and resources that will come in handy after you move in. Join the Creekside Park Village alert list. Check the calendar for upcoming events, view an inactive neighborhood map and more.

To learn about The Woodlands, visit the official website.  While there you can subscribe to The Woodlands e-neighbor, an electronic newsletter distributed by The Woodlands Development Company.  Also visit Woodlands Online, a community website filled with news, events and lots of resources. A Relocation Guide is provided under “Community”. And, The WoodlandsTX.com is another interactive website for community members. An active forum is included.

Want to learn about The Woodlands’ parks in your neighborhood? Browse through the long list. Liberty Square Park and Rockwell Park are both in the Liberty Branch area.

As you can see, many resources are available to help you become a part of your new community. Check them out as you prepare to move.
